parleu is a language app for adults who are serious about learning, including students and professionals. Follow a story from your first words to C2, with each language taught according to its official standard.

Who it's for.

Adults who want to learn a language well, reach their chosen level and take the official exam if they wish.

  • For students and professionals, from their first words to C2.
  • Major European languages: Catalan and Spanish (Spain) are available today; Latin American Spanish, French, English and Italian are coming.
  • Short lessons of ten to fifteen minutes, all tap-based, with no games and no streaks to maintain.

Where the language comes from.

Spelling, forms, pronunciation and usage follow official sources and dictionaries, not rules we have made up.

  • The official standard

    For Catalan, we follow the Institut d'Estudis Catalans; for Spanish, the Real Academia Española and the Instituto Cervantes curriculum: their grammars, dictionaries and spoken standards.

  • The language as it's spoken

    Modern Catalan as spoken in Barcelona, and Spanish as spoken in Madrid, today. Strong language is labelled, with a milder alternative.

  • Levels the exams use

    The levels follow the European CEFR scale used by schools, employers and official exams. You take the exam with the official body; parleu helps you prepare.

  • Your data

    You sign in with Google. There are no ads. The privacy page explains what parleu keeps about you, why it is kept, who processes it, how long it is kept and what your rights are.
