The course follows the European CEFR levels: two seasons per level, one for each half. Start at the beginning or take the level test to find your starting point, then prepare for the official exam at your level.
The whole A1 level is free: no limits, no credit card.

A1.1 is the first half of A1, A1.2 the second, and so on up to C2.2. Select a level to see what its season covers.
What the levels mean.
The CEFR is the European scale used by schools, employers, and official exams. In short:
- A1First wordsGreet people, introduce yourself, order, and ask for directions and the time.
- A2EverydayTalk about your day, shop, describe what happened, and make plans.
- B1IndependentHandle most situations, tell a story, explain things, and give your opinion.
- B2ConfidentFollow speech at work and in the media, argue a point, and write clearly.
- C1AdvancedTell long, detailed stories, write formal letters, and speak at length in a discussion.
- C2MasteryFollow speech that's hard to hear, handle delicate moments, and read tone and intent.

- 2No grades along the wayYou won't see whether your answers are right or wrong until the end, so a difficult question won't unsettle you.
- 3Your half-levelIt places you at a half-level, from A1.1 to C2.2, and in the corresponding season.
- 4Nothing lockedEarlier seasons remain open, and taking the test again simply replaces your result.

Courses for the official Catalan certificates from the Generalitat de Catalunya or the Institut Ramon Llull abroad will be included in the paid plan at your level. You take the exam with the relevant body; Parleu prepares you.

Why half-levels?
A whole CEFR level takes a long time to complete. Half-levels give you a clear next step, and each one is a season of the story.
Can I change my level later?
Yes, in Settings or by taking the test again. You won't lose anything you've done.
Is the level test free?
Yes, for everyone. The whole of A1 is free too.
Do I get a certificate?
Official certificates are issued by official exam bodies. Parleu prepares you for their exams. Exam preparation is coming soon.
